The Inspired Poet

Contributed by JamesStockdale on Thursday, 15th January 2015 @ 01:36:08 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

When I go to sleep
My mind begins to receive
What my hand will convey
The very next day

The words are given to me
From somewhere above
Delivered to me
Via a vision of a white dove

I can only assume
From heaven above
Words fall into my head
Polished and all

To be presented
To one and all

I have few talents
Not much skill
I carry out
Another man's will

Sewing the seed
Doing my deed
Come tomorrow
Another fine read

Pretty cool vision. I get things at night to...my problem is I'm to warm, or my wife will think I'm nuts, or I'm just plain to lazy to get up and write them down.

Your poem is good. I like it. Now let's see some of the words that are given to you. This poem is a poem about getting the words to write poems.

Lay it on me.

Thanks,

Invierno

Tis the joy of poetry:true, unfathomable inspiration. Out of it comes a masterpiece. I always can tell when I don't like the way I wrote something, usually because I'm concealing emotion or writing it the way I think people would like it. Voila, you have done excellently here. Take care and God bless,

Deidra

beautiful are these words, thought the white dove, in delivering them to you, and you to us.

I really like this, and how it conveys why I read poems and try to write them too.

Simplicity speaks to thee. as though from some magical dream.
Thanks!
Peace!
