I see the empty souls
I see the feigning hearts
Back Back Back Again
The rubber band stretches
The dull silence of a steady metranome
A heart not beating
Elasticity worn in a diminished smile
Carry me
back back back again

I think I know this feeling... One of having had love and loved, but to have lost, and seeing others as empty souls, losing sight of what it is that makes love sound and look so appealing, but what makes it come back, is coming to terms with the fact, that love is not such a fantasy as we are raised to believe, and hope it to be. Instead, love is what we make of it. Love is what we design it to be. |
