Do NOT Mourn

Look and see,
Note well:
The black pine box,
With ensign draped,
Then folded.
Brass eagle-lined.
Do NOT Mourn!
Instead honor
In memoriam.
How with honor,
With pride,
The service.
The sacrifice.
Do NOT Mourn!
For it would be unwanted.
For it would be in vain.
Cherish.
For with love and pride,
For my country,
My God,
May family,
Do I lay it down.
