Crown Jewel

Contributed by hauntedscorp on Tuesday, 6th January 2015 @ 11:27:24 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

With a blast of your arctic indifference
I am left frozen in your resolve.
Kindred; romanticizing ambivalence,
A crime of passion I can't absolve

Icy to the touch, yet readily dissolves
Melting, shadow of a man you are,
Dribbling, snivelling, unappreciative wretch-
With hand outstretched, deep into the jar
If caught you whistle for a loyal dog to fetch

Sketchy in your attempts to redeem yourself,
Crystalline lies have hardened their shell,
Biding opportune chance to consume itself
Complacent in your eternal hell.

Darkened corner, where your pride still dwells,
Comatose pulse to your own demise.
Summon from its slumber in high stakes war,
You're a toothy wolf in sheep's disguise.
Greedily seeking, always demanding more

Steadily giving less, like an unpaid whore
A puddle of resistance- you fool.
I said; Sit. Stay, *****. It is you on all fours,
Attempting to barter your crown jewel.

I know you like poetry that is written from the heart and this seems it is written from the heart....a heart that has been broken too many times and now you're ready to hit back with attitude....perhaps Scorpitude!!!!

I said, Sit. Stay, *****. (Scorpitude!!!) This poem drips from first word to Scorpitude last with the signature attitude that is you!

I am very TIMpressed!

Given the title, I wasn't expecting that. But the ballsy, have-some-of -that lines are stitched together with the hand of a master pensmith. The irony; you have bestowed your flaming passion upon the subject.

Beautifully stated! Your distain is magnificent and I would almost pity the fool, if he didn't sound like such a tool. When you bite, you bite hard! Yet another masterpiece.

Damn! This poem here is dark, tense, bitter-sweet, giving me a smile as I read I like a treat at the dark magician's spectacular performance. Seriously, the tone and writing style seems to have an abstract layer to it, and the last two stanzas were frighteningly good. I wonder who be the metaphoric wretch of which is spoken, in influence and in your own imagination. Either way, the dominance of the crown does not trump the dominance of might. :)
