The Host II

Contributed by The_Phantom on Tuesday, 6th January 2015 @ 08:09:02 AM in AEST
Topic: surreal

For whom the bell tolls, that is what I'm told,
My time has come, now I must go,
As the body becomes cold, and the breath rapidly disappears,
Where I'm headed has become clear,

Neither here nor there, no river to cross, no pain to bare,
All is quiet, all is still,
No blue sky nor lake of fire, no white doves nor demons of desire,
Lifted up high, and sunk down low, I shall reap what is sowed,

Judgement is upon me, the truth revealed,
A blacken heart, with memories sealed,
A golden soul longing for peace,
A simple man wanting to please,

The path I chose is one of Cain,
The man I follow is called a Saint,
The eyes follow the mind that ponders,
The soul follows the heart that wanders,

Fore he is Kane, a demon within,
That is Phantom, true to the end,
Both process half this man,
Both are needed to complete the plan,

Darkness comes, as the sun shines bright,
Rain falls from a clear blue sky,
Heart and soul has become one,
Matthew is my name, I am the host, of Phantom and Kane.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom

Do they have a peaceful coexistence, though? I found myself asking that after reading the complexities within you.

Great poem!!! Enjoyed immensely.
