No one can define your memories
Snapshots
Indelible, stamped in your mind's eye
They breathe a life of your making
dancing across dreams
eyes wide open - closed.
Lurking in the shadows of
What is, was and will be...
Hauntingly soothing, some
Good
Bad
Unexceptional
all rolled into one pouch
like marbles in random hues
patiently waiting to be chosen
duck, duck, GOOSE!
Collected and culled
stashed in a secret place
safe from inquisition or submission
No one can define your memories...
but you.
