Is it
only when
you start to drown
in other people's beliefs
is it then
you start to see
the skeletal shadows
that walk
within

To be heard, we first have to listen.
To be seen, we first have to look;
to speak, we must first be silent.
You poem speaks of immersion in another to see the dimensions within. These are wise words, spoken from curiosity and experience.
If we can only sit quietly in the darkness of others, the shadows will eventually come forward. But when we choose to barge in with a flashlight; the
delicate shadows are gone!
Your words are an eloquent reminder. Nicely penned.

I like the simplicity of your poetry. From what I have seen so far I was right to check out more than one of your poems. I do this when I read a writer I have not read before. I definitely like your style. |
