It was all a lie.

Topic: dedicatedpoems

What did I do?
Where did he go?

All alone, I sit at home.
Message after message.
Ignored and no reply.
Was this all just one big lie?

What did I do?
Where did he go?

I'm laying here wishing it were you.
Your name no more, upon my phone.
I feel empty, I feel different.
Yet you don't even see.
tears that fell, my eyes all swelled.
I miss you so much, can't you tell!
Just tell me......

What did I do?
Where did you go?

I'm just a girl, I brake and fall.
Next time please, just can't you just call?
I miss you,
But, I know that you don't care.
To say I really like you,
that I wouldn't dare.
To be in your arms just one more time.
To see that smile, would be a bless.
I guess it's time to start,
start thinking of you less.

Where are you now........ When I need you the most.
You said you'd be there, you said that you cared.
I'm the fool, next time I'll be aware.

I like that you can admit to feeling and feeling pain. It's hard sometimes when people put this expectation of holding in your raw emotion. I could relate to this poem. It hurts when your not what someone led you to believe you were to them. I hope you feel better and that it gets better in time for you. It's never easy and screw the people who blow it off like it is. Keep your head up.

I like the emotive pattern of this piece, it reminds me of a song.

"If you feel like leaving
You know you can go
Why don't you stay until tomorrow

If you want to free. . you know
All you have to do is say so"

Excerpt from 'Sarah Smile" by D Hall and J Oats

A true heart gripper you have here. Your writing expresses independence yet the longing for the one you thought you could rely on. Great work and may God help you grow in this season of time,

Deidra

Start thinking of you less.
