The struggle is growing stronger
This smile growing weary
My heart is floundering in a sea of despair
Hope deferred please let it not be
After all it is the light at the end of the tunnel we are to see
Why must trials affect us this way
Do you still believe in the love that put us together
I want to believe in the hope we confirmed
Was present at the beginning and will see us through to the end
Can we still believe that our bond will stand strong
And will last us for life
The conflict that clouds our minds seemed impenetrable
But you assure me that all in the end will be fine
And when I falter you restore my confidence
So my dear let us seem this predicament
A mere speck among blemishes on our imperfectly perfect timeline
I choose to believe in the love that brought us together
And I shall reaffirm that our hope is preserved
As it was present at the beginning it will last till the end
We can still believe that our bond will stand strong
And forever is not lost tonight

As one who is this year reuniting with his family I can tell these words are from your heart.
I am glad that poem like these remind me to not falter in the love I have for others.
