The Dance

Contributed by softerware on Sunday, 28th December 2014 @ 02:24:26 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

He stands here;
She stands there; Unaware. Do they dare?

Turn and look;
Toss the hook; Pride’s forsook.

Face her;
Chase her; Long to embrace her!

Find him;
Bind him; Follow behind him!

Passion and flowers;
Swift are the hours; Passion devours.

Sleep for him;
Weep for him; Dark secrets keep for him.

Why does he stray?
What keeps him away? (What can she say).

Watching the clock;
Silent the knock; Key in the lock.

Nights that he’s late
She lies in wait; Such is her fate

Too late they awaken;
Sad and mistaken;
And all is forsaken.

Exit with grace;
Time will erase;
Loving in hastes; bittersweet taste.

The pain of the yearn;
for love’s swift return’s
A tax love has taken;
To be stirred, not shaken!

moody, sad stuff with no redemption at the end. And THAT is how life really is, so well done, I say.

I also like the format; not often to run into a new line schematic.

Good job here,

Invierno

Hello Soft

Yes sad but true however only if one dwells in the world and I don't say this likely. Yes I know that there are believers that stray as well but. Those who stay focused one God and the word get there. I feel the pain in this poem and hope that its just something random you writing about and not your life's experience. God bless
Greetings
Rus
