When Fear Wears Practically's Mask

Contributed by Beyfoxman5 on Saturday, 27th December 2014 @ 02:39:33 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

When you fail, it does not make you a failure
So give it your best at what you want, be free
Because it would be a total shame
If you failed at what you didn't want to be

In the end you might not have it all
remember it is not naive to try
Visualize, picturize, and actualize
And in the end fly high

Yes, as it stands right now
All you have is your present reality
Every day, in your head
Fear tries to disguise as practicality

Practicality says play it safe
And it says this year after year
But if you dared to lift practicality's mask
All you would see is fear

Some may think what you want Is ridiculous
And you look at the universe and think it is absurd to ask
What if you just took a risk?
And didn't  let fear wear practicality's mask

So lift the mask, stare right through fear
And kick practicality to the past
Be the person you were destined to be
Turn around, and let the nay-sayers kiss your ###

Well, your message is certainly clear! I never thought of practicality as fear, but I can see the connection!
Great message for starting the new year! Keep a band aid in your pocket and go of it!
We had to learn to walk and talk…why did we stop being adventurous?
Happy New Year to you and thank you for a good uplifting read!

I like the message here, and you are oh, so correct. Fear of the unknown, or even more so, failure, are the chains that bind us to the turning wheel of life.

Your message is strong, and I thank you for it. And the end, by the way....cool. I was planning on doing the same thing (letting the mind fill in the word), but you beat me to it; not sad, not in a fit, just one muttered word, oh well,....****.
