Do you hear the resuscitation--
the mild beating of the will to love?
I’m sure that was far longer than 3 minutes and yet ...
oh yes - the brain was never deprived.
You’re smile was always so quiet
a breeze would have seemed thunderous
in comparison
I could melt into it so easily
(would you let me?)
Countless moments in shadowed wait
Never impetuous, always uncomplaining
Was it calculated? Did you feel it too?
Kindred, you and I
and here we are again ...
Yet still timorous, still unsure
Clarity is a singular gift
Rip open the wrapping; discover the treasure
you know is there
I promise I will not resist
I would be open even to just a kiss ...

Talk about a thunderous breeze... You little Miracle on 34th Street, you! Okay I am getting carried away, but how can I not? What an unexpected surprise to come to your account and see a *BRAND, SPANKING NEW* write from you!
This is a great write, and welcome back. I love your voice here, a touch of "speak softly and carry a big stick" a la Teddy Roosevelt. (P.s another Scorp). In other words, you packed a big punch in a most Breezalicious way. Your subtle, yet sultry wordplay is still on point, and I love the unwrapping of a gift comparison.
