The last dare

Contributed by kmec1990 on Monday, 22nd December 2014 @ 12:31:18 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

We bought an ATV
But it was clear to me
That I had no real intention
Of driving that contraption
I did it on a dare
To get me out of there
Once I got behind the wheel
I made the tires squeal
My blood began to pump
So I jumped a monstrous stump
Down the trail we started out
"Not too fast!" I heard him shout
So I stomped down on the gas
Til the engine gave a blast
As that buggy gained some speed
I felt a change in me
No longer did I dread
That I could end up dead
After circling round and round
With no puddles to be found
I chose a different path
Incurring heated wrath
For up there straight ahead
Lay a muddy old streambed
Pedal to the metal
Down in the seat I settled
I aimed right down the middle
And he began to fiddle
Then he began to pray
So I quickly looked away
By now you should surmise
That water it did rise
An eight foot wall of muck
Our OFV it struck
With mud coming out my nose
And stuck between my toes
I just began to laugh
He thought me clearly daft
Before I could repeat
He jumped out of his seat
And walked back to his truck
Muttering about his luck.

He now bought a single quad so he doesn't have to ride with me any more LOL!

Guess you got rid of that passenger. Can't say I blame him, I don't like riding with crazy drivers either. Good humor and well Written.
