Stay the course defend the honor,
of the man I call brother.
Earnestly he worked the steps,
craving back the life he left.
Reaper came, goal unattained,
family torn, encircled by pain.
Fiction penned fact or so some say,
garners support through paparazzi essay.
A reputation now in tatters,
who he was no longer matters.
Saint turned sinner one fell swoop,
six feet under conceals all truth.
Drowning in the allegations,
spread by captious confabulation.
Judgement passed without a trial,
cannot speak, no denial.
Storm ensues failed to weather,
friend and foe now bound together.
Matriachal supposition,
calling for complete attrition.
Angered by relentless chatter,
accusations must be shattered.
Loyalty demands support,
trying hard, falling short.
Entombed memory laid to rest,
whispers to my consciousness.
Technicolor recollections,
of dis-remembered imperfections.
A maniacal miscreation,
of drug induced reprobations.
Anamnesis now complete,
good and bad forced to compete.
Illuminating realization,
that done is done, no recreation.
Acceptance of his mortal deeds,
allows my heart my head to lead.
For those who chose another path,
to you I say beware the wrath.
For God alone has right to chose,
who walks with him or is refused.

The last few lineS are the absolute truth and drive the message home. I agree it would be a shame if our live are encapsulated into just one mistake. We must make account of the journey.
Best,
