The Cloud who caused an avalanche

Contributed by shelby on Sunday, 21st December 2014 @ 03:26:20 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

The catch all, clean it neat and tidy,
the Christmas season came.
Dig,dig, toss and throw
to get the decorations out.
(I'll fix the clothes and things back tomorrow"
Tomorrow came and went,
toss a few more things around,
shut the door, who is to know, right now just me,
tomorrow came and went again.

There is a cute little fellow, white with blue eyes,
who just could not resist temptation
when the door was open wide, just a second
before I could say another no,
it was much to late, a kitty leap,
a hit and miss, boom,bang,wham,
an avalanche he did create,
allover the floor, down on his head
a buried kitty, oh lord what a mess.

I find it a bit ironic, our other sweet furry boy,
the 18th marked a year now, since he passed away.
Miss him every second, every minute of the day
and we had given him the name of Avalanche
after my Colorado Hockey team.
But the name fit him well,
for everywhere he did go,
he caused a flurry of activity
and brought things down,boom,bang,wham,
like a mountain side of snow.
And yes inside this very closet
more than one occasion,
the same type of scene,
I guess it must be every kitties dream
(and my nightmare)

So I guess that is what I get,
for saying it will be taken care of tomorrow
and tomorrow kept on getting longer
but now there just is no way.
So guess what Ill be doing
all day tomorrow on my Sunday??

I keep listening for creaking
as I stare at the door.
I can almost swear I can hear the mess growing
just like before.
So if you do not hear from me
for a little while.
Call out search and rescue
Come to find me in the messy closet now!

Ha ha ha ha!

Heeheehee...too funny with a tiny little tear for the little guys.

I didn't know it's already been a year. I remember that, Michelle. In our hearts, they stay alive.

It has been about two and a half years since I had this little guy put down. Still miss him.

Thank you for an enjoyable read.
