Friendship

Topic: FriendshipPoetry

Always thinking about my friends
friends of new and certainly of my past
All of them needed in my life
having made memories that last

Thinking of the past years
when we were only kids in school
Hanging out in our different clicks
thinking we were so cool

The realization of our futures
never so clear as they are today
Many years have passed
but our friendships are here to stay

Chatting on Facebook
or some other social media site
We may be miles, or countries apart
but often wish each other a good day or even a good night

As I sit here and think
my memories seem like yesterday
Your friendship must mean something to me
as I have not let memories of you all, fade away

Everyone has their problems
during this life we live
True friends are forever
always there for a hand to give

So my friends, to you all I send my love
don’t let our memories fade away
Let’s stay in touch through the remaining years
counting our blessings each and every day

Thank you for being my friend
I am grateful for being yours, every day
I choose to maintain our friendship
by thinking of you all from day to day

Hey, buddy. An old friend from years ago (10 year-olds, )who now lives in South Africa, called an old football team together: faces of long ago. Posted the picture and said we must meet. We did, and it was warm, and we drank too much .Thank you!
