If we talked I would say..

Contributed by Cathartic on Wednesday, 17th December 2014 @ 03:28:08 PM in AEST
Topic: Event

you never asked me how i knew. i've been waiting for you to ask for so long now. i’ve slowly begun excommunicating myself. it disgusts me thinking about how many available ways there are to reach me. how you no longer use any of them. i work on understanding how it is possible that feelings change so drastically. so rapidly. i come close to crying when i eat food you like. or drive by places we never got the chance to visit. i wish you would find a way to come back to me. i don’t really know when it’ll get better. all my pathetic attempts at letting go. i miss your voice. i miss the way your hands work. i miss the first day you felt it too. our favorite red sweater. stolen glances in dark theatre rooms. the smell of your car. i hear your silence. i hear my name. i hear my name. i want that all the time now. we should’ve talked about us more. i should have told you what i was feeling sooner. i shouldn't have fought urges to touch you. i always wanted you. i believe i almost had you. i don’t want to tell you. i want you to know. i would appreciate being yours. i think i might have loved you.

Wow. I'm still waiting a woman to be like this toward me, lol. I enjoyed seeing your poem play out in my imagination.

I really like this and it is very much in the character of some poems I have written. I think love is a misunderstood thing when it comes to human beings.

I love how you wrote this. Great job expressing these emotions. I hope this poem is a step in the direction of your healing process.

All the best.
