Hold you,
Hold me, but lets not hold on to what can’t be held.
Feel you,
Feel me, but lets not reach for things that cant be felt.
Sleep easy because by morning i’ll be gone,
And tomorrow will feel like I’ve did everything I could've of done.
Hope for your recovery,
Pray for my discovery of another world without this dichotomy.
Can’t pretend that this didn't work
And it wasn't because I didn't give you all of me.
Relentless seconds that seem to torture the existence of us…this anomaly.
Endless fruitless debauchery that which what i thought was our polarity.

Thinking "up" thoughts while staying in the present. I really like this.
Best,

Your poem is very well written. It reminds me of a few songs I like: Dianna Ross' "Touch Me In The Morning", "How Bout Us" and Isaac Hayes " One Big Unhappy Family" I will have to check out more of your writings. |
