Maybe it wasn't the f bomb,
That caused the distraction, that killed.
The Creative.
No. No. It's him. He, of The Babymaker.
It's true. It is me. The Dreamslayer.
Getting back to the hissing serpent, Betrayer.
But, The Muse-
Ever persistent, deceptively resistant.
Lulled by that hypnotic melody.
A certain electric chemistry.
Both of us continue to battle our own tenacity.
Mine is She. I mean, Me.
My shrewdest critic. Hardened cynic.
A sometimes grasper of dreams-
Tiptoeing the beam.
Snatched back by the Hostage Taker-
The Thief. He collects souls.
Sucks me down, until I bare my teeth,
An inborn response to survive,
Why? I'm not always so sure.
But, in struts, a slice of Humble Pie-
Superman, to a regular guy.
Aurora borealis of my night sky,
Something phenomenal. Often wry-
You and I.
Your demanding nature keeps me spry,
Without you, I've no wings to fly.

the muse, i believe, is a poets best friend, someone to
listen to our hearts, prod the mind and infuse the soul,
no matter what happens to us in life- there is the muse
ever ready to put into words what ever life has thrown
our way, i love how you wrote this!
hugs n' love nessa

"Lulled by that hypnotic melody; a certain electric chemistry!"..what a beginning to draw us in to the feelings of surrender to another!
"Aurora borealis of my night sky"..we place others on a pedestal, do we not?
but the closing lines are a dedication in its purest form
"You and I" Without you I have no wings to fly"
(sigh) ah yes…we can all identify!
Looking forward to your next write! Continue the story, please…

This is one of the many lines that proves your greatness in this field. there is nothing you cannot do. everytime I read you I read something new. You prove that you are a worthy poet, a worthy person, and a worthwhile friend. I wish I knew you better friend, for personal insight, lol |

One of the finer poems I've read on this site. Very well crafted, and a fine balance of mystery and revelation to titillate to the last line.
Masterful,
Invierno |

Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On a, Jupiter and Mars
*inserts whistle dude here*
Oh wait, different Fly me to the moon. :p
He, of The Babymaker For some reason I wanted to add the word clan right after that line. He, of The Babymaker Clan. Me of the McCleod Clan. :P
This poem, for some reason, really got me wanting to respond to each line. However, I will not TIMgent today.
But I'll just say this, the f bomb does not destroy creativity. It's generally life and the f bomb is only part of it....part of the sum total. Just opinion.
Thank you and pleasantries to you.
