~A beautiful disaster~

Contributed by shelby on Wednesday, 3rd December 2014 @ 01:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

How could beautiful and disaster reside together?
A marriage made in Heaven or is it hell?
Questions spinning on an eastern cold winter wind
meshed together, hell unfurled?
Not sure, not sure, we create a mess dont we?

So I sit here, talking to myself
confusion , riding tides of emotions.
I find myself just that, a beautiful beautiful disaster.
Is it good or bad, I really cannot say
a dainty brown eyed beautiful mess
a hell of mess, a disaster walking?

Or is it fine? Souls tide in which to dine
fantasy or reality, life collides, high tides
low tides, and what do I always find?
Just me, just me, fine tuned or ruined
at times I' m not sure which it is.

Gather myself or not, like me or hate me
love me or berate me, it is just what it is
at least for tonight, a cold and dark winters night
a beautiful disaster, that is me, or is it?

Not really sure.............

I think that this is the true nature of us all.
(And you captured it brilliantly)
A great mess that combines it all.
Well penned, dear friend.

Luff,

What a great poem. You so clearly articulated the struggle of knowing yourself and loving yourself.

Or is it fine? Souls tide in which to dine
fantasy or reality, life collides, high tides
low tides, and what do I always find?
Just me, just me, fine tuned or ruined
at times I' m not sure which it is.

This was a great stanza in the midst of a very good poem
