Lead me to the dark

Contributed by FireStarter on Wednesday, 3rd December 2014 @ 12:03:53 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Lead me to the dark, its where I'd like to be
lock the light inside my heart so I could unleash my dreams
Feed me to the shadows of this sorrowful, evasive place
Unleash the pain, since there's no saving grace

There's pain inside my head, as well as my heart
I can never let it go since I don't choose to impart
This pain is never fleeting, swelling in the core
Lock this pain inside my heart; forevermore

The light and pain inside my heart choose to battle it out
there is only room for one of them, to which there is no doubt
The light wants to roam about releasing its joy
pain on the other hand wants to release it's ploy

The light whispers to me that there is a saving grace
it says all you have to do is keep a hold of your faith,
Pain says that all you have to see is red,
and soon one day you'll be amongst the dead

I choose to believe the light since its always been there for me
as I let the light seep out, it finally sets me free
It washes away the pain that I've tightly kept inside
I finally have no pain or whispers telling me to die...

I felt each word and it is residing near my heart.
This is so emotional, beauty in its peaceful unrest.
The ending seals it. Lovely lovely verse,

Hugs n huggers

Hell of a good line.
