Dear Bandit

Contributed by LOWMAN613 on Friday, 23rd May 2003 @ 02:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: PetPoems

Bandit you have guarded our back door,
for many years,
you will never be like you were before,
and for that I have many tears,
19 years old & you just lay there still,
It hurts me to see,
breathing softly,yet your so ill,
You need to be set free,
Its ok to go now,we'll be ok,
don't hold on to the pain,
even though I cant see you go away,
seeing you this way, makes me insane,
What can I do,but watch you die,
barely eating a thing,
Your pain, brings a tear to my eye,
so look for the angels wing,
I rub your head,& wipe your face,
do you know I'm here,
when you reach that beautiful place,
Mom will be waiting up there,
So go at peace,we'll remember you,
Our dog we cared for,
Who protected us the years through,
we thank you ever more,
Your last breath I will watch you take,
I'll be there by your side,
and in heaven where you will awake,
Mom will be there to guide,
As I give you a drink, from my own hand,
Suffering there all day,
I look to you & understand,
Why you feel you need to stay,
I cry to see you suffer so,
So please dont hold any more,
Theres a place for you to go,
and your pain will be no more!

This is so sad. I hate losing a friend but we all must go someday and when it is your turn he will be there waiting, without pain and hurt. just happy to be with you again.

Aww... poor puppy! Oh well, we all have our time, right? I love animals, I'm such an animal person, and losing a pet really sucks, especially when you've had him or her for so many years. My last 2 mice both just died the other day, and even though I only had them for a couple months or so, it still makes me sad. I'm used to them being obnoxiously noisy and keeping me up at night. Sigh... well I'm sure he'll be happy in doggy heaven.
