Retrospect
It always tells the truth
Retrospect
Now I see clearly my youth
Retrospect
Dear God, why did I wear that hat?
Retrospect
There was no reason to get angry over that
Retrospect
We were young and dumb
Retrospect
Or just some kids having fun
Retrospect
This place, I'm sick of it
Retrospect
Mom and Dad were right, now I miss it
Retrospect
I was always wishing for something more
Retrospect
Looking back, 'twas the time I most adore
Retrospect
Time goes by way too fast
Retrospect
So glad to still have a past

is wasted on the young?' the more years that pass the
more this makes sense to me, you are right on, excellent poem!

Oh god the agony of hindsight, my curse of a superpower. A great insight into looking back over time and seeing what could and should have been. and what is happening because we denied certain indulgences even..... |

I like the concept here, and where you were going with it. "Retrospect" became a little repetitive. It took away from some of the better lines. I think it is great you are trying many different styles. It keeps things exciting.
Keep writing.
