Streets grew darker,
The winds blew stronger
Eyes view, no longer
Children sounded with laughter
Men grew
Women stay and brew
The roads steep and bumpy
The children in mud, lumpy
Lives fell apart
Avenues start to craft
With a devious mind she schemes,
Children so innocent, it seems
Pebbles thrown
Memories broken
Gather, gather
Its story time children
No moon could stop their hearts desire
No star their endless guide
Try to stop them, i dare you
Monsters of the night with all their might
Car alarms
Turn to needed harms
The innocence is gone
With love the only charm

This is powerful, especially for my first read of the day. I wish so much that children didn't have to live with pain, suffering, or any kind of loss of innocence. Again, this write really grabbed me.
Best,

This is sad and horrific to think of the implications.
