a foolish game

Contributed by texasman on Wednesday, 26th November 2014 @ 11:27:35 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

There's a fine line
between love and anger
Neither are meant
for the imperfect stranger
It takes someone that we know best
the heart should never
leave the human vest
It's no wonder
love hates us so
For if it was hatred
It would destroy our souls
so why is it that we
play such a foolish game
Only to find we are both to blame

I love this poem. It has such an important message about if people used love instead of hatred, we could accomplish and help more people that need it. Excellent writing.

A foolish game for sure…Hate, like love, is still an emotional investment--it's apathy that devastates.
When there is no emotion left, there is nothing to repair. "Its no wonder love hates us so."
My favorite line, and a very wise story you have set upon the table!
