Edge of catastrophe

Contributed by Beyfoxman5 on Wednesday, 26th November 2014 @ 04:01:48 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I say hey one day as a walked down the aisle,
What is it that need to drink?
And this story I tell might ring a bell
It's more common than one might think

Hey there it is
As a reached for a v8
But when I did that
It was way too late

As the ground came near
My reflection became clear
On the surface with nowhere to hide

On the edge of catastrophe
A one-time everyday calamity
God Bless my friends and family
But honey, this gait don't wanna work

Here I go off to the bank
That thought was followed by a very loud clank
No, not the sound of coins on the counter
It was my carcass that fell and sank

And as I looked up
Ol' Mr. Gluck
Extended and offered a hand
No thanks teach
I appreciate your reach
It's just gonna happen agaaaain.

On the edge of catastrophe
A one-time everyday calamity
God Bless my friends and family
But honey, this gait don't wanna work

Soon after that
I felt trouble
Oh my dear
I saw double
As I leaned to read my text
Come on guys
You won't burst my bubble
Cause you know what happened next

On the edge of catastrophe
A one-time everyday calamity
God Bless my friends and family
But honey, this gait don't wanna work

I enjoyed this poem a lot. I am sorry about your struggle with falling, but I liked how you can laugh at yourself and make a positive out of something negative. Great writing. I am clumsy and fall often myself, but I'm just accident-prone.

Did you have a stroke? This poem imparts a powerful message. For me, I am going through a hard time right now, but reading your poem put my idea of a 'hard time' into perspective. Thank you.

Invierno
