Pebbles

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I would like to say she wasn't the one
but every song in my car disagrees
If I close my eyes, and roll the windows down
I still feel her smiling in the next seat

Katie, I'm sorry. You were young and I was stupid.
I was trying to make you her
But no one was ever her though, you know that.
And I was a heartbroken jerk

I think I could fall in love with you
I need it bad
The love that I lost
The love that I had.

I would send you a message tonight
If I still had your number
It would probably be denied
by yourself or your lover.

Wherever you are,
I still hope you're okay
Me, I'm just biding my time
until I can say

I think I could fall in love with you
I need it bad
The love that I lost
The love that I had.

I was kicking pebbles as i walked home
There were so many of them
I had one stuck in the soul of my shoe
I threw it away and I thought of you.
