Here’s to all the mods and poets;
who knew that we could do it!
Who cheer us on, read hours and hours;
And write to say "I knew it!"
Mine started with Timotheus,
or now, “Sir Tim” to me!
Who helped me to believe (absurd!)
I could write poetry.
Thank you for your comments spud;
and yours Another Red!
I was listening HauntedScorp;
to every word you said!
Oh yes you can, said MuppetMan;
And when I thought oh dear no;
emystar said “as you are” and
so did you Invierno!
Greetings Russell Reinhardt for flattering my flow
and reprobate incarnate for daring me to grow!
To Lady fawn who lights the dawn
with praise of sheer delight!
To brew and Banjo Sandwich;
to spud and alice white!
to PD Eyes who will advise;
and reads through every page;
My gratitute to Jenny K, and
the fairy of the sage!
Not a flaw escapes Jim Koz;
who helps us stand alone!
For beckoning deadreckoning inspires like
none I’ve known.
My gratitude for comments from one unknown utopia;
and all who make this hood of sorts, a happy cornucopia!
Your emails make me happy, no matter what you say;
That you would think I matter enough to write each day.

I don’t know what you look like; I’m sure we’ll never meet;
but few have ever done as much to make my days so sweet!

If no one’s ever told you; that stops here and now!
for everything you do each day, step up and take bow,
Poetry may be the WHY-- but you friends, are the HOW!

What a delightful surprise!! Impressive delivery and flow with so many wonderful poets mentioned- wow! Thank you for the honour, and I am grateful for your whimsical, thought-provoking poems (often laced with riddles!) I share the same sentiments as you. Our ypdc family is important to me, and I always find a smile here. Thank you for the continued inspiration and friendship!

you made me cry, that is a hard and rare thing for someone to make me do. I am flattered and grateful for and to you. I will always be thankful for you Jaye. you are the calm, steady voice of seasoned wisdom that I love to hear from. You inspire me to be a better man, a better person, and a better poet.

Dearest Soft

You done it again. You maid me think and read a loooooooooong poem. LoL. However let me say this one I love very muck. Here comes the thinking part whahahahaha. This poem is first and foremost about a home, and a home is where love friendship and encouragement is found. Full of family members that love and support each other. YPDC is a HOME YES!

Second the family members mentioned here are GREAT poets I would have loved to see one more name R E Burns.

Third. Me WOW WOW WOW I'm so flattered to be put in the same class and calibre of poets mentioned here, and if my english teacher from school had to see this she would fall flat on her back. I remember so well how she shouted at me. GERT YOU IDIOT YOU WILL AMOWMT TO NOTHING ONE DAY. Your inclusion shows me she was WRONG LoL. Thank you for this honour and relief that I'm not and idiot lol. God bless

Greetings
Rusp

I have to say, it's a first for me to be mentioned in someone else's work.
Flattery will get you everywhere !!
I agree with what you are saying in here though, it is a community of people with a shared interest, sharing encouragement and willing each other to grow.
May you continue to write and plant the seed of inspiration to others.

Steve
