Proof In the Pudding-

Contributed by Invierno on Sunday, 16th November 2014 @ 05:20:55 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

I admit I am an infant
(but only to those of you I don't know);
that short of this hair on my chest
and lack the same thereof on crown and crest,
I'm aught a wee bairn crying for lack of way.
A follicle (or two) by half a centennial;
my past, it scrubs and pinches in reminder-
my future, in dogma mode-
“Every Day Is Your First Day” or
on that favourable theme.
But the past scratches and all best efforts
mock the new attempted Me.
“Impostor! Don't tell!”
(“Quiet! Only We know!”)
“Well, just fine then, all my poet friends
now know as well!”

So, I am unsure of my future,
regretful of my past-
coming to know through evil
(as long as the road leads true, true?)
there is indeed a God for me
at last.
