Silently upon a bed of slats a dark eyed baby waits,
for the woman from a distant land,
to take her from that place.
Born in her heart though not her womb the woman's love erases,
all fear and doubt of future times with gentle warm embraces...
for the dark eyed baby.
Together now on wings of steel across the sea they soar,
to the waiting arms of many kin just waiting to adore...
the dark eyed baby.
Now many years have come and gone since that auspicious day,
we've love and lost, we've laughed and fought we've added to the fray...
another dark eyed baby.

The timeless, hopefully endless, beautiful cycle. Thank you. |
