If only you could gild this situation
Spin your gold to plate this grim picture
All magic comes with a price
As you have warned me with deepest love
And now I beg you to cover it, so anguish
I can keep my heart above
Dearie, it's not your fault, you try to comfort me
Oh, Rumple, the mirror haunts me, says so
A weeping child I am in your arms
Closing my eyes I wish to be broken
The spell of dark charms
You soothe me, easing me out of frustration
Your gentle caress reassures me all is well
Deception and guilt are no longer powerful
For the dagger is in its proper place
Despite how it fell there
And now the wretched, twisted knowledge I learned
Can no longer trap me in despair
