Rage filled heart

Contributed by FireStarter on Thursday, 13th November 2014 @ 05:29:59 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

My heart is locked in a powerful cage
its been sent there to rot, and stew in its rage
Its captor is merciless and benevolent with glee,
I hope that its captor will take pity on me.

I once loved its captor with each inch of my being
I saw him for what he was without me seeing
He had a kind and gentle soul, always taking his time with me
until that fateful day, when he took my heart and it screamed like a banshee.

My heart hates him now with a burning passion
as for me, I can spare him no ration
I want my heart back, and I want it back today
and I can be sure, that I'll walk away
