-------Daze into Decades----
paltry pittance, paid in full
kiss your face then crush your skull
crazy as clear as the daze of the Pain
if for decades the days were one and the same
the back of your mind, it tasted so clean
needing no numbing nor needles bright gleam
misfit mistake, missed a day
traded treasured time away
tick-tock, get a grip, a grasp...a clue
it's the whispered lies adoring you
it's a two-dimensional three-way tie
for last in line for First To Die.

Wow!! I thoroughly enjoyed this deep write. You found a buried treasure for sure...Excellent wordplay to express the grip addiction has on the mind and body.
Impressed.

Nice one! Feels like the rhythm rises and falls (maybe just me :P).
Love the 'tick tock'! |
