Tears For Words

Contributed by waynster on Thursday, 6th November 2014 @ 11:50:53 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Tears are the residue
of words held so tight
Wanting to say them so badly
but holding on to them with all your might

Sadness is a mere feeling
coming from very deep inside
It is a feeling
that is very hard to hide

Frowning caused by despair
happiness lost for a while
Moments in time
with ourselves we need to reconcile

It only tells us we’re human
when we deal with so much pain
When it seems like the sun doesn't shine
and all it does is rain

Sometimes we lose someone close
a friend or family member we love
They are taken abruptly
and sent to the heavens above

We are left here filled with sadness
broken hearts and so many words to say
Wishing the one we lost
were still here with us today

Over time our tears will slowly dry
as we move on with this life we live each day
Always remembering the one’s we love
even though they have gone away

Very perceptive piece, and relatable to all.
Powerful opening lines.

Nice write
Very poignant ending.
When the tears dry the sadness still lingers, but with it always the memories. We should never lose those.
