my memories have hardened
my thoughts finally free
I've waited for sometime now
for the chance to be me

no more looking back
at the life I use to hold
the life that I live today
is a story to be told

I look to what will be
not to what has been
simply to justify
the who,what and when

time has no bounderies
of what we are made of
we just do what we do
all in the name of love

then it changes every thing
once we see the light
we do what we must
so all will turn out right

no more bad memories
all tied up in a glance
life is looking up
because we simply took a chance

Loving this positive write! Great flow to match your upbeat attitude. I like that third stanza, and love the ending.

I can't wait for the rest of your story to unfold...Us readers are in for a treat. :)

Such a great poem. Simple, inspiring, and very well written. I think we all go through our ups and downs in life. It's up to us how we overcome them...

Letting go of the past can be a tricky thing to do. We tend to fall into familiar patterns of behaviour and it can be so hard to undo those.
Go for it I say, never look back on yesterday.
