She was my shore,
A harbor of rest and pleasure.
I could crash upon her and she would not be moved.
Softly I could caress her,
My own private strand.
I was the water
And she was my land.
Mingling we met in passion.
But more than desire grew.
She was a balm to my wounds.
Terram auro.
Nec tamen valet cor meum
The winds of love bluster forth,
Driving my thoughts to her.
I ponder the depth of my resolve.
A sounding must be made before I run aground this life
And leave shipwrecked the hope I have left.

Great expression here. I like how you wrote it with a gentle touch, as though each word were meant to caress her. I also like how you used the elements of astrology to tie your connection together.
...But that intro...Cancer is the 'strongest' ? Of course you meant after Scorpio...I'll forgive ya:P
