Once God,Devil and I sat chatting late till eleven,
God soon started boasting of his magical heaven.
God said, heaven is every man's cherished dream,
it is abundant with rivers of milk and cream.
It is ruled by fairies, intellectual and wise,
it is free from desease, malady and vice.
The people living here enjoy vigorous health,
they are free from bonds of material wealth.
There is no place here for people soaked in sin,
the air here is pure and devoid of waring din.
The trees here abound with birds chirping from their nest,
here you can see mother nature dressed beautifully at her best.
The atmosphere here echoes with hymns, pious and sacred,
there is absolutely no place for malice, envy and hatred.
The devil whispered something to his ugly bloodhounds,
soon God's heaven was filled with Dollars and Pounds.
And then what happened, there is little to tell,
in a short time, heaven got decayed into hell.

I agree entirely ... material wealth is for those shallow people who think they have it all .. but in the end they have nothing ... great poem .. I enjoyed it ... Jan |
