BELIEF

Some of us believe in Jesus and God
and some of us don’t
Some believe they are just imaginary men
but many certainly won’t

I believe in a higher power
that is my God, the one in which I believe
It’s a choice I make in my life
even if the non believers think I am so naive

There has been to many instances
when I surely should have died
Walking on the edge of death at times
the heavens, my entrance denied

Not because of being bad
or a non believer in the power above
Only because it was not my time
God wanted me to show the world much more love

If I have the choice to believe
that something good will happen to me when I die
That is the choice I will make
no need to even ask me why

Even though I believe
it does not mean that I am right or wrong
We all have our own beliefs
eventually the day of reckoning for us all will come along

I believe in God
but I still live my life to make the choices that I do
You believe in something
so I won’t push my religion or my beliefs on to you
