Brave Knight 102

Contributed by ramfire on Thursday, 23rd October 2014 @ 09:59:04 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

Mast broke and seas swashed over coaster’s rail,
the day was like as night with sky black coal.
With buckets they began attempt to bail
and each man working like a blamed lost soul.
All made to save the boat their frantic goal,
thus day slipped into night with little ease.
Throughout the fight ship heaved with pitching roll,
king, knights had never seen such heavy seas.
With never ending hope men tried to beat strong breeze.

Then they heard new sound coming straight from right,
the noise of crashing breakers hitting beach.
Amid the shriek of Aquilon’s rage such sight
for monarch, knights would be a welcomed reach.
Against this ocean fortress seen a breach,
chance made to enter wide the opened gate
sic, thanking deity on minds of each,
for break that coaster didn’t find too late.
With hope now given, knights thought they had conquered strait
