the clicks of guns
the bangs of cannons
the screams of civilians running for their lives
the hearts of young men filling with terror
are all the sounds of war.
the mothers and fathers weep for their sons
while the boats and plans
slowly fill with new souls
the fear in their eyes
the pride in their voices
are all the sounds of war.
the running of troops
the urgent messages flowing from tent to tent
and the pitter patter of rain on the canvas
are all the sounds of war.
the forests become quiet
the tremble of the ground beneth running feet are heard across the lands
deserted villages, and farms
are all the sounds of war
the clicks of guns
the bangs of cannons
the screams of civillians running for their lives
the hearts of young men filling with terror
are all the sounds of war
the sound of one last cannon
the forest growing quiet
both sides of the battle field walking away
the tears of a man all alone
are all the sounds of war
the clicks of guns
the bangs of cannons
the screams of civillians running for thier lives
the hearts of young men filling with terror
are all the sounds of war.

The have done so well, the horrors of war
It makes you wonder, the baseness of man.
I gave up wondering long ago..Now, I'm
just sick about it.......... |

This was a great poem! I encourage you to keep writing because you created some beautiful imagery. War is definately a tragedy!
One little suggestion: Seperate your lines into stanzas. I would suggest doing that after every, "are all the sounds of war"
It would help the reader and is more pleasing to the eye.
Again, great job! keep up the good work!
