Father,
My father, why hast thou forsaken me?
I in my immaturity as a child have stood away
From your grave and wept.
No tears, only dry beds of misunderstanding,
Seeking material comfort, touched by your mortal hands,
And yet it is now that I am the adult, and with the maturity
I have stood in front of life's reflection, the awakening
Of your eyes staring back at me, now, with your wisdom,
Your insight and your empathic warmth, a priceless gift!
We are at peace.
