Goodbye

Do not help me,
do not show me what
there is to live for.
I'd rather not know what others
love, I just dont care
it was never me.

I tried to find who I was ment to be,
but always find failure.

If I am found with this note
then for once I have succeded,
to those who whished me dead
you're to slow, tell anyone who wants to
say goodbye I'll see you at the end.

Dont try and stop me,
for I am tired of proving no matter
what this never ends.

I've spent too much time being the rock
for other people.
How funny that a rock
now marks my crown.
In my polished little box.

Great job Mick. Being 'the rock' is not easy. I know, same as you. I wrote some poem a while back on this subject. "If They Only Knew" covers the same (for me, anyway) fear and instability I feel at having to be "The Man' for everyone all the time.

I really like this Mick. Thanks for sharing.

This is so sad, the ending just touched my heart so deeply.

Hugs
