Complete Opposites ....

Contributed by RussellReinhardt on Tuesday, 14th October 2014 @ 09:08:08 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

14:10:2014....

Just like a magnet.
Complete opposites attract.
For this exact reason.
We need to live the season.
In any relationship.
No one party is the Pope and the other the Bishop.
like a hand and a glove.
Each to one another part of.
Two entirely different entities.
Come together in harmony.
One raised like this the other like that.
Yet woven together form a beautiful mat.
You don't have to agree yet do respect.
After all that's what you would expect.
We are created with an empty space.
This gives us the need to embrace.
That's why we all seek out a mate.
Someone to love not to hate.
In the beginning things go swell.
Yet as time goes by we end in a well.
Quarrels inevitably start.
That could very well drive you apart.
Just remember who it is that agitated you.
Not your arch enemy or a clown in a zoo.
This is your best friend.
The one on whom you can depend.
So be quite in your anger.
For you might lose your anchor.
Once you are calm and the storm is over.
Approach with a peace giving clover.
Sit talk not shout and you will realise.
What can be accomplished with a bit of compromise.
And at night when you lay down to sleep.
Know in your heart peace you did keep.

RR

Hi My Friend. So good to read you again. A great point in this poem. TRUE relationship is never easy. It ain't all sunshine. But the rewards are the most valuable to be found in this dimension. There is no feeling that is as peaceful as hugging and loving, and (most importantly as the source of the sweetness flows from this knowledge) that I am hugged and loved just as much.

The harmony of spirits found in love is awesome.

Best to you, Rus

Mike

Well worded!! Loving the word play and flow. Great job, and so true. Not always easy to practice, but worth the effort.
