Swaying in the darkest wind,
My body swings at bay,
Sticks and stones had broke my bones,
But words threw me away.
Leaving me so vulnerable,
And crying out for gay,
IT hid my shouts with broken mirrors,
Claiming I'm okay.
Snickering in victory,
Sticking to my tears,
IT gives the swing a little push...
As I fall into my fears.
What is IT?

Interesting question IT
both letters in caps
I never took an AP class
dropped out in eleventh grade
My son is taking AP classes now
In English, Math and History
My wife did that when she was in school
IT
could it be information technology
You say, "my body swings at bay"
As though it is a tool
you use,
wait... I feel as though I'm way off
on a distant path here.
"IT hid my shouts with broken mirrors"
broken mirrors could become a mosaic
of sorts perhaps?
a secret, IT
Could it be truth?
Excellent class to be in I'm sure!
Also a good poem --- tell me the answer please, now I have to know
Peace! |

Love the imagery and emotion here. I have dealt with perhaps a relative of IT: emotional conflict and perhaps a facade; one that allows people and ourselves to believe it's all good. Great writing and God bless,
