A gal of such glowing beauty,
I stand pennyless and alone with my dreams.
I scattered my fancies beneath your footing,
so walk tenderly as you step on my illusion.
Yesterday I held you close,
my heart pressed upon your loveliness.
Now that has faded from my world,
like the dewdrops on the summer morn.
Once you moaned from kiss to kiss
and I heard your heart moan too.
Laughter to laughter and tear to tear
we once wandered the mountains.
Those days have evaporated like dew.
I now wait for thy famous breeze of love
and the nocturnal stars to be blown out
like the sparks from the firecracker
that dies so warm and peaceful.
I wait for the pale breast and pausing small hand.
The dream catcher woven with distinction,
spider like silky threads holds my aspiration.
The cold-dry lilies
that enfolds my hopes
unto dark clouds and one yellow rose.
I now dream of you.
