Screeching smouldering Rubber.
Burning away like excess blubber.
Smoke hanging thick in the air like mist.
This is something that's on my wish list.
A fearless drifter.
Lunging back and forth on the shifter.
Going sideways around the track.
Leaving tyre marks wide and black.
Crowds watch in astonishment.
At the drifters awesome achievement.
Flying round and round at horrendous speeds.
For filling this lust this need.
Calculated precise.
Moving so gracefully as if on ice.
Never once misplaced.
All with one goal WIN the race.

The title did draw me to your write. Once I read it, I could visualize what your words contained. I took it as a tale of the fine art of auto drifting - just watched a special on drifting the other day. It's amazing the control needed. Liked this write and enjoyed reading it, P |
