Empower Us Oh Lord by Rev. Dr. Fred M. Lassonde

Have you ever tried to do things on your own

and found out no matter what you tried

it just did not work and left you feeling down

left you so frustrated that you cried

Please note that you cannot go it alone

You need God to help you in all you do

need a heart of flesh and not one of stone

allow Jesus to save and be with you

For we need the Savior, we need to truly see

where we are without Him and where were going to be

Can go to heaven if we come to Him on our bended knee

and then forsake our sin and repent you see

If you want to really get things done

then get your power from the Lord

let Him empower you, let Jesus be the One

Through The Holy Spirit and the power of the Word!

A poetic beauty about the Almighty
Praising it joyfully is my honest duty
A fine poem with rhythm so intact
Its lovely structure does attract.
