High up on this Mountain

Contributed by Voice of the Silent on Monday, 8th September 2014 @ 09:14:21 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I'm up on the mountain
Looking down below
Down into the valley
I sit here all alone

I've been high up on the mountain
For as far back as I can see
Been sitting up on this mountain
Waiting for someone to come save me

I see the people down in the valley
Putting their lives to the test
I can't be like the rest
I'm safe high up on my mountain

But as I see down in the valley
Something that's never happened to me
I see others together, they look so happy

I'm up on this mountain all alone
The happiness of friendship I've never known
So far up on this mountain, no one will come this far
As far as I can see, no one is coming to ever save me

Even when I pray, this feeling never goes away
I thought there was supposed to be one who would always stay
By my side, I don't feel His warmth inside
I feel all alone,
The love of Christ is something I've never known

Even when I try to be one with my faith
In the end it feels like such a waste
Because in the end all that answers me is the wind
Blowing, my only company high up on this mountain

There is two aspects I pick up in this poem. In both we are the ones that must reach out. To others and to God. In saying this I'm not saying you are wrong. In fact I truly think you could do with rescuing. We all need someone and something to believe in. We need a purpose and we need to belong. I pray that you will find what you are looking for and that will be ok. God bless

Greetings
Rus

Some things fly

But the wind takes
Things
Away

Like faith might come
Or go

So do you believe that?

This poem has amazing insight
But don't believe me
Believe you!

Great poem! sorry for the long
druid-like reply.
