The Project

Contributed by dirk-velvet on Saturday, 6th September 2014 @ 06:33:19 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

he remembered thinking
before the project began

- this will be easy -

he studied her lifeless form
for some time
then he

started to cut

it was easy
at first

one fluid movement

then
it got
harder

he became - frustrated - got - sloppy -

cut off one of her fingers

then
hurrying at the end

a
toe

when finished
he stood up
looked down on her
and

started to cry

his teacher
approaching from behind
remarked
---not bad---
you need to be a bit more careful
with the scissors
around the curves---

then
in front of the whole class
she held up his paper cut-out
and placed a
gold star
on it

Yikes! I'm thinking he's getting rid of the body…and happily it turns into paper dolls! Whew! Close call! Nice set up and a quick shift to let out a sigh to!
Whatta ride!
Thanks for crafting it!

Yes Soft that was a close call. I was getting ready for that painful cry " OMG what have I done" thankfully its a paper doll as you say. I just want to add one thing though. Just imagine how the teacher boosted the confidence of the boy with that gold start after he thought he maid a hash of things. Great write.

Greetings
Rus
