Cast Die

Contributed by invierno on Wednesday, 3rd September 2014 @ 12:30:53 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Janette of thirty years ago
still breathes I hope and laughs
as we did then-
AnotherRed took me back to that lonely
abandoned house of when.

We had laughed and played and laughed-
more than our marriages to others combined-
Oh, how we smiled and teared in happiness
neither of us denied.

And when that time came,
to show love through push and poke-
when I defined us as done,
neither of us spoke.

Hi bud

Cool write. Takes me back to young days as well thanks. The end leaves me in two minds though.

when I defined us as done,
neither of us spoke.

Ok so is that done as in you never see each other again, or done as in the foreplay is over? What did happen then?

The answer to that question will define the ending to this poem in the readers head. Enjoyed reading this one very much. Blessings

Greetings
Rus

That's the beauty of writing poetry. The mind can travel to where and to when it likes. Years are no boundary, and recalling such moments are good for the soul. Always a pleasure to read you.
